A thoughtful Mirena commentary...

Dear friends, this was the LAST topic I envisioned would be my motivator for entering the blog world!
Get a cup (pot) of tea...this is a long one.

I'm not going to give you all of the gory details, but I do want you to know there may be more to the Mirena fact sheet than the FDA is providing to women.  I'm NOT saying the Mirena is good or bad, just that you should give deep and thoughtful consideration before you place anything (devices or drugs) in your body.  I am not a doctor.  Heck, I guess I'm not even really a good consumer since I find myself in this self-inflicted mess up to my eyeballs!   This account is simply my experience thus far.  There are many, many more stories just like mine, but also many stories of women who had a positive experience.  I hope mine has an happy ending. Soon.  Conventional medicine has minimized medical practice as routine and very one-size-fits-all.  I'm here to tell you, it's not.  Read on to find out why.

So....here it is!

Welcome!  For so long - so very, very long, THIS was my little dream.  I have pined deeply for this place...MY place.

The how, the when, the what...were all so overwhelming.  Where to start has never been my strong suit...and actually starting, well,...we won't even go there. : )

I always thought I knew the why......until last week.  I envisioned my blog debut as a beautifully designed outlet for my photography (gasp!), some home school antics, spreading good words of peace, parenting craziness, humor to help the masses, some crafty fun and life-in-general.

But the why has changed. Seriously changed.

This place is mine, but I want you to be here with me.  Stay for a spot or stay for a while.

Enjoy.  Laugh.  Cry.  Yell.  Sing.  Learn.  Empathize.  Think.  Celebrate.  Inspire.

It takes some real moxie to blog publicly.  (Trust me, I've been waiting for my moxie tree to bloom for quite some time!)  I mean, it's kind of like sitting in a restaurant naked and expecting no one to notice!  Well, if everyone notices and starts pointing and laughing, that's okay.  And, if no one really notices...hey, I'm fine with that, too!

I think the what to blog has always been with me.  The how to blog will come (I hope.)  The why...well, click on over to A thoughtful Mirena commentary... to get the reader's digest version.

Before I hit publish, though, I must thank my cheerleaders.  my peeps.  my friends.  my family.  My dearest husband certainly tops this list and our merry-mischief-maker son runs a close second.   Without all of their unending antics, support, love and humor, none of this would be possible.

...here's to finding peace...
